Kinetic Orthotic material properties are unique not only because of how they are designed and manufactured but also because of the unique kind of plastic they are manufactured from. These properties combine to give you the ultimate blend of qualities hard to find in any other comparable orthotic material.
The Poly-kinetic plastic is a unique kind of polypropylene which is extremely tough and hard-wearing: so much so that we can offer a life-time guarantee on its resilience.
It is guaranteed not to bottom out and or break or we replace it free of charge. An offer unmatched by our competition.
The Poly-kinetic plastic is extremely light-weight. It is the most lightweight of all the plastics with a SGI of 0.91. This fact is important for athletes where weight minimisation can be a critical issue for maximizing performance. Lightweight sleek orthotic shells are ideal for most people who don’t want bulky heavy orthotics.
The light-weight properties of the Poly-kinetic plastic are further enhanced by the blended incorporation of forefoot and rearfoot posting into the shell design. This creates the lightest, fully functional, resilient, individual orthotic device available on the market today.
Our hygienic Poly-kinetic plastic is easily cleaned and does not encourage bacterial or fungal growth. It is impermeable to water and moisture vapours.
With our unique milled finish there is no need to add a top cover especially when you are not using any additional soft padding.
Kinetic Orthotics® are easy to grind and adjust, as the material doesn’t grind to a fine dust.
With the tapered thickness of Kinetic Orthotics®, fascial grooves can be easily added without adversely affecting the orthotic shells torsional stability and performance.
The incorporated forefoot posting allows length adjustment without causing increased front edge instability, as well as allowing slight changes in forefoot posting angles by grinding either top or bottom surfaces.
The aspect of incorporated forefoot and rearfoot posts maximises the torsional stability of the whole orthotic allowing for dramatic width adjustments to the orthotics for shoe fit without compromising the orthotic shells’ functional integrity.
Poly-kinetic plastic is heat adjustable.
Although not highly recommended (as it can potentially disturb design parameters) spot heating can be used to adjust the orthotic.
